Casadina Kitchen & Bakery: A Place Like Home

After having such a busy morning with hot bright sunshine and bad traffic, All I need is some comfort. I talk about food, place, and vehicle. For place, you know that the most comfort place is home. But, what about for other two?

For vehicle, I could say that Toyota Agya would be my choice. The spacious interior where I can sits comfortably, the fresh air lever which you can use to change the air inside, and the automatic transmission that can save your leg in Jakarta's traffic, What can not get you a comfort?
And now, about the food, I would like to have nice lunch at homey place just to fix my day. I decided to have lunch at a place not far from where I live, Casadina Kitchen & Bakery.

The dining place was opened not a long time after I started living in Taman Rasuna. But after all this time, I finally came here. This place is located at Tower 17 Taman Rasuna, just a minute walk from the building I live at.

I used to think that this place is just like any other place. I mean, it is located in the middle of Jakarta among the skyscrapers. But, after going there, this place is like an oasis in the middle of Jakarta. It got a home ambiance and the place is so comfortable.

Bloody Orange, Does It Bleed?

If you think you know all the food from all over the world, you could be wrong. Like both of us, we always find new food. Like this one fruit that is completely new to us, Bloody Orange.

We got to know this fruit from a cooking class at a kitchen appliances showroom in Kemang, South Jakarta. The fruit was there in a dish with orange and lemon. This fruit is quite eye catchy since the color is dark red but had a shape of an orange. The texture of the skin is just like any other orange.

Time for Batavian Food: Soto Tangkar & Sate Kuah Pak H. Diding

There is always more than one good food in one place. Like in Pasar Pagi Asemka. After trying the legendary Nasi Tim, we looked for another food. Not far from the market building there is a place that sells soto.

We could say that soto is like a soup mixed with so many spices and ingredients. There are a lot of Soto from Indonesia, soto Betawi, soto Medan, soto Lamongan, and people from Makassar call it coto. And every single kind of these sotos has its own taste.

In Pasar Pagi Asemka, we tried this one soto, Soto Tangkar. Like Soto Betawi, this dish is from Betawi too, or we could say it is a Batavian food. But, you can hardly find the dish in Jakarta since Soto Tangkar is less popular than Soto Betawi.

Our First Meal, Nasi Tim Pasar Pagi Asemka

Like everyone start their days, we start our blog with the first meal of the day, breakfast. It is not hard to pick what breakfast that we would like to share. We choose Nasi Tim in Pasar Asemka. We are not sure what the name of the place is. Since it is located in Pasar Asemka and it is Nasi Tim, let's just say the place is Nasi Tim Pasar Asemka.

Pasar Pagi Asemka
You will not miss the building since it is the only building with Chinese architecture style.
Pasar Asemka is located in West Jakarta, not far from Kota Tua. The market is under a flyover next to Mandiri Museum, But you can find the Nasi Tim place at the market building. It is a four storeys building with Chinese architecture style.

It is easy to get there whether you go by public transportation or your own vehicle. If you go on a public transportation, you can take Transjakarta and go to Kota shelter. From the shelter, you just need to walk to west for about 10 minutes. you will find the building on your right side.
